Walindi, New Britain, Papua New Guinea Photoquest with Martin Edge

Learn from a professional and create superb images in one of the world's great diving locations

Wednesday 18th July - Thursday 2nd August 2001 (16 days)

Group Size Limit: 12 divers plus leader

Martin Edge is widely acknowledged as one of our leading underwater photographers and is probably the finest teacher of underwater photography skills in Britain today. His students range from those who have just acquired their first underwater photography equipment and are keen to master the art of underwater photography to those who are professional photographers still striving to perfect their skills. Martin's Photoquest Expeditions combine the stimulus of diving with a group of like-minded people who constantly discuss and exchange ideas on underwater photography with continuous input from Martin in superb diving locations. Martin Edge's remarkable teaching skills are amply demonstrated by our Divequest Gallery. Most of the photographs included in the gallery have been taken by photographers who have studied with Martin. The standard of their work speaks for itself.

Martin has elected to return to Papua New Guinea for this expedition. This time it is the rich and world-famous reefs of Walindi Plantation Resort that he has chosen as his venue. Vibrant and healthy reefs covered in soft and hard corals, sponges and gorgonians, teeming with reef fish, alive with strange but beautiful nudibranchs, home of the Pygmy Seahorse, razorfish, friendly batfish, leaping dolphins and curious sharks. It will be a real dilemma deciding if it is close up work or wide-angle that you wish to pursue. Most people try both! The library at Walindi bears evidence that the world's finest underwater photographers have already made the pilgrimage to Walindi, so why not join them?
