Linda has have chosen the Maldives as the location for her 2002 photography course as she considers that the wonderful coral atolls of the Maldives still offer some of the most exciting opportunities for the aspiring underwater photographer. Despite reports of coral bleaching, a recent visit proved to be one of her most exciting and rewarding photographic trips ever, and indeed it was the inspiration for this course! Huge shoals of fish, sharks, profuse macro life, terrific action-packed night dives and that ever-present possibility of seeing something 'big' cruising by characterizes these truly oceanic islands in the Indian Ocean.
A superb house reef offering unlimited diving and picture-taking, daily boat dives to some of the fabled dive sites of the Maldives, E6 processing and a series of evening talks on topics ranging from wide-angle to photographic composition will be included. Add the magic of staying in traditional Maldivian bungalows overlooking the ocean, the delights of the the regional cuisine and the company of fellow enthusiasts, and the ingredients are there for some great pictures (and a really fun holiday)!
