Experience the ultimate close-up shark dive with 80-100 free-swimming sharks! Meet one of the world's most rarely encountered, most formidable and most misunderstood sharks ­ the mighty Bull Shark. Disprove the myths and experience the thrill of a lifetime on this unique and educational trip endorsed by The Shark Trust!

Two of the most famous names in the 'shark world' will be working together to lead divers on the ultimate 'Shark-quest', searching for Bull Sharks in shallow waters along with open ocean encounters with Caribbean Reef Sharks, Black-tip Reef Sharks, Nurse Sharks, Lemon Sharks and perhaps, with luck, Tiger Sharks and Scalloped Hammerheads too.

When the Bull and Lemon Sharks are in shallow water there will be ample opportunity to snorkel (or use scuba if you prefer), rather than dive conventionally, with them, but open water diving will also be an important feature. A series of evening lectures and never-before-seen videos, along with safe and intimate shark encounters, complete a total shark experience that you will talk about for year to come!

Itinerary

Friday 1st/8th February: Virgin Atlantic morning flight from London (Gatwick) bound for Miami, arriving in the afternoon. Transfer to Waterfront Inns Beach Retreat in Fort Lauderdale for overnight.

Saturday 2nd/9th February: Transfer to Fort Lauderdale Airport. Morning Chalk's Ocean Airways flight to Walker's Cay for a 7 nights stay at Walker's Cay Hotel. After settling into your new Caribbean 'home' there will be an opportunity to meet your first sharks this afternoon.

Sunday 3rd/10th February - Friday 8th/15th February: Six more days with the sharks of Walker's Cay.

Saturday 9th/16th February: Late morning Chalk's Ocean Airways flight to Fort Lauderdale. Transfer to Miami Airport. Virgin Atlantic early evening flight bound for London.

Sunday 10th/17th February: Morning arrival at London (Gatwick).

· 1 night bed and breakfast accommodation at Waterfront Inns Beach Retreat, Fort Lauderdale.

· 7 nights half-board (dinner and breakfast) accommodation on a twin/share basis at Walker's Cay Hotel, Bahamas.

· 6 days of specially escorted shark dives and snorkeling.

· Evening sessions on shark conservation and behaviour led by shark experts Jeremy Stafford-Deitsch and Gary Adkison.

Single Occupancy Supplement: £392. Please note that, while we will endeavour to find a room-mate for those on the tour who are single travellers and would prefer to share accommodation, in the event of a room-mate not being available the single occupancy supplement will apply. Room-mates will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
