DIVEQUEST 2006

2006 is Divequest's 10th anniversary! Ten years of diving holiday excellence from our dedicated and well-travelled team. At Divequest we are passionate about the underwater world. From fantastic encounters with Whale Sharks to the discovery of tiny Pygmy Seahorses, we want to share our knowledge and experiences with you.

New additions to the programme in 2006 include the lovely Anthony's Key Resort in Honduras, Borneo Divers' Mabul Dive Resort close to Sipadan and Tasik Ria Resort in Sulawesi. Our selection of liveaboard boats now includes Caribbean Explorer I in the southern Bahamas, Utila Aggressor in Honduras, Peter Hughes' new Ocean Dancer in the Maldives, Pelagian and North Sulawesi Aggressor in Indonesia, Odyssey in Truk and Oleanda in the remote Marshall Islands (exploring the wrecks of Kwajalein and reefs of Rongelap).

Our unique Divequest group adventures offer an opportunity to try something quite different. In January Gary Clarke heads off for heart-stopping encounters with Manta Rays and Whale Sharks in Mozambique . Marine Biologist and prize-winning underwater photographer Alex Mustard visits St Vincent in search of weird and wonderful creatures in February, when England shivers beneath a blanket of grey. Later in the year he guides a trip to Bali in search of unusual creatures (including the enigmatic Sunfish or Mola Mola). Malcolm Hey returns to his beloved and remote reefs in West Papua . Martin Edge leads a liveaboard photoquest to Hawaii . By popular demand, John Boyle returns to the Seychelles for more Whale Shark encounters. Gavin Parsons leads a ground- (sea-?) breaking trip to Cuba , with highlights including wrecks and Bull Sharks along with great food and fascinating culture. In May 2007, Martin Edge fulfils a lifelong ambition and explores the incomparable wrecks of Truk on beautiful Odyssey .
